Tour the “House of the Future” at the Seattle Center

While this house isn't on the market, someday I may be listing and showing ones that have similar affordable and environmentally sound features. It's amazing to see how homes built for convenience are transitioning to also be sustainable. A project of Habitat for Humanity, this 1,400-square-foot home was built by volunteers and will eventually be home to a family with three kids whose dad put in 400 hours of sweat equity.

You're invited to tour this home of the future from 1 to 4pm each Wednesday through Sunday through October 21. While it may look a little out of place right beside the Space Needle, it's easy to find and a great addition to the "Next 50" anniversary celebration of the 1962 Seattle World's Fair.
